Eta Chapter was established at UC Berkeley in the Fall of 2013, and was officially chartered in the Spring of 2014. Although relatively new, Delta Kappa Alpha is growing each semester, recruiting and fostering students with creative talent and a passion for cinema. Eta Chapter already has a strong presence on campus by hosting several social and fundraising events, as well as forming partnerships with organizations on and off campus.
Every other year, members from across all chapters meet up in Los Angeles to discuss Fraternity business, visit Delta Kappa Alpha's founding sites, and celebrate chapter and individual member achievements.
For two years in a row, the Eta was recognized with the Herbert E. Farmer Trophy, an award distinguishing the most outstanding chapter in the Fraternity. We are incredibly honored to have been recognized for this achievement, and are especially proud of our members who gave the presentation at Convention. Watch their efforts pay off below!
The vision of Delta Kappa Alpha is to be recognized as the premier institute of upstanding entertainment industry leaders. Not exclusive to film studies majors, DKA welcomes men and women, undergraduates and graduates, who are dedicated to fostering lifelong character, collaborative and creative storytelling, ethical and productive business practices, philanthropic action, and fraternal bonds by and between students of the cinematic arts.
